Andy's Free Coaching...
If you - or a work colleague - is feeling more pressure or stress these days...
I'm offering some free coaching for the foreseeable future.
First - I get the question, "Why free?" I'm fortunate and have flexibility to help more people at a time when most businesses have put a freeze on using outside consultants. I feel coaching is very helpful and empowering during these unusual times and I'd like to help.
Perspective and productivity is easier said than done, right? I get it – my family’s everyday life and routine is a work in progress.
I’m finding my recent coaching conversations are involving:
A note about stress, trust, fear, and change:
Sometimes it's easier and more effective with a coach to stay persistent, keep proper perspective, think creatively, see things differently or more clearly, and have an accountability partner. I've been leveraging my coaching community more the last month. I've been collaborating and exploring ways to effectively help leaders lead and cope during this challenging time - even learning from leading leadership neuroscientists.
I want to help as many people that would like extra support at this time. Feel free to pass this on to acquaintances.

- How is your - and your team's remote work productivity?
- Will you be remembered as an inpirational and highly effective leader during this time of adversity?
- How is it going with your or your co-workers efforts to help children with remote learning - and no play-dates?
- Are you concerned or stressed over personal or loved one's well-being?
Perspective and productivity is easier said than done, right? I get it – my family’s everyday life and routine is a work in progress.
I’m finding my recent coaching conversations are involving:
- Keeping proper perspective - balancing a long term perspective of hope, with a deep acceptance of our current reality - knowing colleagues state-of-minds are often changing daily and hourly
- Prioritizing, taking action and improving 1 or 2 things – personally and professionally - and not getting overwhelmed with everything
- Developing family and business routine/productivity – with flexibility
- Finding ways to step up as a trustworthy leader despite the daily disruptions/unknowns/new challenges
- Maintaining personal well-being - nutrition, exercise, sleep, rejuvenation/personal time, music
- Our own biases and those of others - they tend to be more noticeable and magnified
- Getting some business results with teams, knowing everyone is being disrupted
- Laughing, telling jokes, sharing funny stories with those around you
- Listening and connecting more with colleagues, making it safe for them to share frustrations and challenges and helping them adapt and work through change - so getting business results can remain an area of focus.
A note about stress, trust, fear, and change:
- Reduce stress - stress lowers our immune system and reduces productivity
- Increase trust - when trust is high, relative to fear, people and people systems function well
- Consider increasing trust - high-trust leaders and organizations have: 50% higher productivity, 106% more energy, 76% more engagement, 74% less stress, 40% less burnout
- Our brains tend to resist change, causing stress, but it is important as a leader to listen more, communicate more frequently and take action despite not having all the answers, or know what's next
